Your command works for us under Linux with ImageMagick 6.2.8. Try using a double quote under Windows, see if that helps. Or perhaps a backslash will work.

Thanks for the problem report. We have a patch in ImageMagick 6.2.8-5 Beta available by tommorrow. A release version of 6.2.8-5 should be available within a week.

We tried your command under Windows XP and it worked fine. Not sure why its failing for you. We got an image with 'test?' written across it. I think that is what you were looking for.
