How To Create a Monotone Image?...

IMagick is a native PHP extension to create and modify images using the ImageMagick API. ImageMagick Studio LLC did not write nor does it maintain the IMagick extension, however, IMagick users are welcome to discuss the extension here.

How To Create a Monotone Image?...

Post by Dembe » 2019-09-01T23:12:33-07:00

Hello everyone,,
I am trying to create the effect as showed in the attached example.

In photoshop this effect works like this:
source image RGB
image mode = grayscale
image mode = duotone / monotone
All gray and black tones are replaced by the color you choose.

Anyone?

Thanks.

What is your IM version and platform? Please always provide that information as syntax may differ.

Try in command line

Code: Select all

convert inputimage -colorspace gray +level-colors "red, blue" resultmage
For Imagick, look up similar named methods at http://us3.php.net/manual/en/book.imagick.php

But changing from gray/black/white tones to color is not making the output monotone! So I am not sure I understand your question.
