ICC Color Profile to simulate color blindness?

Questions and postings pertaining to the usage of ImageMagick regardless of the interface. This includes the command-line utilities, as well as the C and C++ APIs. Usage questions are like "How do I use ImageMagick to create drop shadows?".

ICC Color Profile to simulate color blindness?

Post by pipitas »

At StackOverflow I found an interesting question today:
  • "Creating an ICC Color Profile to simulate vision of color blind people"
(See here: http://stackoverflow.com/q/27275782/359307 )

Though this question is not directly ImageMagick-related, please bear with me if I ask in this forum: is anyone from its fellow participants aware of such a thing? Please also keep in mind that there are different types of color blindness...

I think having such a thing available could help people check their color choices in presentations, documents, posters, images, graphics etc.: they could apply that profile to a document and check if important information and color differences/contrasts would get lost and/or become unrecognizable or hard to spot.
